Online banking allows you to access your account 24/7 – easily and conveniently from a PC, smartphone or tablet.
In order to protect your account, many of the transactions require confirmation with a TAN (TransAction Number). Simply select whichever of the different security procedures best meets your needs.
Online banking with pushTAN
Online banking on smartphone, tablet and computer – with the S-pushTAN app.
With the free app, you always have your finances in check.
Each order must be authorized in the S-pushTAN app.
Simple installation and activation of the S-pushTAN app.
In the following instructions, you will learn step by step how to set up the S-pushTAN app for the first time with a registration letter. You will receive the letter from your Sparkasse.
Note: The procedure is shown as an example and may vary slightly depending on the mobile device or bank.
Open the S-pushTAN app and click „Jetzt einrichten“ (Set up now).
Have you received a registration letter with a QR code for the S-pushTAN app? In this case, tap on the upper field "Registrierungsbrief erhalten?" (Received registration letter).
Attention: Do not click "Registrierungsdaten anfordern?" (Request registration data) If you do not have a registration letter, please contact your Sparkasse.
If you use an Android smartphone, we need the "Phone" authorization to bind the S-pushTAN app to your phone (smartphone). Tap "WEITER" (Continue). Then click "ZULASSEN" (Approve) to grant the authorization for your Android smartphone. Otherwise you will not be able to use the S-pushTAN app.
Note: This step is not necessary for iPhone users.
Set a secure password for the S-pushTAN app. Use:
After you have entered your password, tap "App-Passwort festlegen" (Set app password).
Attention: The password is only valid for the S-pushTAN app. It should not be confused with the password/PIN for online banking or the password for the Sparkasse app.
You will be asked to confirm the password for the S-pushTAN app. Enter it again and click "App-Passwort bestätigen" (Confirm app password).
You can also log into the S-pushTAN app using biometric data. You can use either facial recognition (Face ID) or a fingerprint. If you want to use the method, click on the red button.
You can also skip this point and set it up later – tap "App-Passwort verwenden" (Use app password).
Once you have selected the method offered, confirm with "OK".
Attention: Always Remember your password. You can only unlock the app with the password if you do not have Face ID/Touch ID activated.
Allow messages and tap "Weiter" (Next).
Note: The S-pushTAN app only works properly if you allow messages. The app will inform you if there is a new order for approval.
Select "Use camera" and scan the QR code on the letter. Alternatively, enter all data manually. To do this, tap "Registrierungsdaten eingeben" (Enter registration data).
Allow the S-pushTAN app to access the camera on your smartphone so that you can scan your QR code. To do this, tap "Kamera benutzen" (Use camera) and "Erlauben" (Allow).
Now please scan the QR code in the pushTAN registration letter.
If you are unable to scan the QR code or have not authorized access to the camera, enter the data from the pushTAN registration letter manually.
Click on "Weiter" (Continue) afterwards.
Log in with your data for online banking. Enter the "Anmeldename" (login name) or the "Legitimations-ID" (legitimation ID) and your online banking PIN.
Note: If you are logging in to online banking for the first time, this is the "Eröffnungs-PIN" (Start-PIN) that we sent you. Otherwise, you have already changed the online banking PIN.
If you are logging in for the first time and enter your opening PIN you will be asked to set a new online banking PIN.
Enter your new PIN with at least 5 characters and tap "PIN festlegen" (Set PIN).
Attention: You will need this PIN. You will require this PIN for all future logins to online banking. Please do not confuse this PIN with the card PIN or the app passwords.
Once you have set a new PIN, you will be asked to confirm it. Please enter the new PIN again and tap "PIN bestätigen" (Confirm PIN).
Once the process ist completed, you will be notified that your pushTAN connection has been successfully activated. Tap "Fertig" (Done) to end the activation process.
You've done it: from now on you can use your S-pushTAN app to securely and easily approve orders in online banking.
Attention: Please do not release any orders that you have not explicitly requested. If anything is unclear, contact your Sparkasse immediately. Do not disclose any sensitive information by phone.
Set up new pushTAN
Reconnect online banking with the S-pushTAN application.
Request a QR code to reinstall the S-pushTAN app (e.g. if you change your mobile phone or uninstall the app by mistake).
Online banking with chipTAN
With the new chipTAN QR procedure and your Sparkassen-Card (debit card), you can generate your individual TAN in just a few seconds. This will make online banking even simpler, faster and more flexible.
